As a community, the Parish of Our Lady of Mount Carmel - Barasoain is made by organizations that have specific tasks and functions. Each organization in the parish has its own set of members and officers. Some of the organizations have their roots as early as pre-Second Vatican Council times while others were born out of the fruits of the council. Despite the beginnings and purpose, the organizations have one common denominator: to allow the faithful to engage in spiritual activities in the church and to increase the flexibility of the parish.
The highest governing body of the parish is the Parish Pastoral Council which serves as the decision-making body of the parish. All other organizations are bound by the rules set by the Parish Pastoral Council. In addition, there are also six Sub-Parish Pastoral Councils which oversee the areas under the parish.
