Parish Joins in Red Wednesday Campaign

Barasoain Church joins the more than 2 000 parishes in the Philippines in solidarity with the Christians living in persecution in countries where the faith is suppressed.

On 27 November 2019, the church was lighted red with the people inside encouraged to don in red colors.

The global “Red Wednesday” campaign aims to highlight the plight of persecuted Christians around the globe. It is gaining more support in the Philippines, with more than 2,000 parishes joining this year’s observance compared to 1,600 last year.
