Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish - Barásoain Church is a Roman Catholic church built in 1888 in Malolos, Bulacan. Having earned the title as the "Cradle of Democracy in the East, the most important religious building in the Philippines", and the site of the First Philippine Republic, the church is proverbial for its historical importance among Filipinos.

Church to Commemorate 124th Anniversary of Malolos Congress

On 15 September 2022, the church will host the commemoration activities for the 124th Opening Anniversary of Malolos Congress. The program will be held at Barasoain open grounds fronting the church in the monument of General Emilio Aguinaldo. The program will begin at 8:00 AM and a flag-raising and wreath-laying rite will be conducted.

The distinguished guest for tomorrow's activity is the Vice President and Department of Education Secretary Sara Vicenta Zimmerman Duterte-Carpio.

Those who wish to attend the program may come to the church following the safety protocols in place.

PCY to Hold Audition for Panuluyan 2022 Christmas Presentation

The Parish Commission on Youth is calling on interested young members (ages 15-24 years old) of the parish community to join the auditions for this year's Christmas presentation entitled: "Panuluyan - The Musical 2022: Ang Pagsilang ng Mesiyas."

Those who wish to audition may bring the following requirements:


  • Acapella musical piece (minus-one)


  • Dance presentation no longer than 1 minute and 30 seconds


  • Prepare to act a piece that will be given during the auditions

The auditions will be held on 10 September 2022 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

For those from other parishes who wish to join the presentation may need to present an authorization letter from the parish priest of their communities.

Pilgrim Relic of St. Titus Brandsma Arrived Solemnly

The pilgrim relic of St. Titus Brandsma arrived in Barasoain Church in a simple ceremony on 7 August 2022. The relic is currently traveling through different Carmelite parishes within the country.

A welcome mass was held in the afternoon of its arrival and an open veneration was held for the parishioners who wish to venerate the relics. A program was held in the evening about the life and ministry of St. Titus Brandsma.

The said relic will stay in Barasoain Church until the next morning, 8 August 2022 in a farewell mass at 6:00 AM.

Harana kay Maria: A Musical Night

On 15 July 2022, the Barasoain Music Ministry and its choral groups will be performing in a night of serenade in celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The concert will be held on Barasoain Church at 7:00 PM. The said concert is free for everyone to enjoy.
